In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

What with the school holiday on Monday, Bria has been learning a little bit about MLK and what he did as she does every year at this time. While I think that's wonderful, I'm not so sure all the information is really sinking in the way her teachers would like.

I know this because of what she said to me last night. I was getting ready to go to the church for New Beginnings, and I was wearing a black skirt with a black and white polka-dotted blouse and a black sweater vest.

Bria took one look at my outfit and said, "Mom! You're all black and white! If you lived in the sixties you would be integrated!"
