Sophia at 18 months
(And kind of a lot of photos of her)

Sophie turned 18 months old on Friday, which means she gets to go to nursery today. I can't believe she's so old already. While I'm excited for her to go, as that means my church going experience will be slightly more pleasant, I'm a little sad too. Nursery seems to be the end of the baby stage and the beginning of the toddler stage.

I did a little photoshoot this morning to commemorate the occasion. She is one little busy body, getting magazines to read and pulling them up in front of the backdrop and finding other toys. Anything but looking at the camera. Many aren't in great focus because of her wiggliness, but they are Sophie. Enjoy!

  1. Oh, oh, oh! Am I really the first one to post?

Love the pictures of Sophie - so cute. You've got some good portrait shots (close up with her smiling and looking heavenward) - but the rest capture her personality.

But why didn't you include the cell phone in the photo shoot? *grin*
    Just kiddin'...

  2. I think they turned out great! She is such a cutie pie. My ds is almost 18 months and I too feel like he is entering more of the toddler stage. I'm not ready for my little man to grow up so fast.

  3. I can't believe she is 18 months old! I remember stopping by with bows right before you guys moved out of the ward! Craziness!
She is a cutie and I love the photos!

  4. What a beautiful little girl! She reminds me so much of Ainsley. Not holding still for even a second for pictures.

I know exactly how you feel about nursery. So nice to be able to actually listen in our classes, but it means they are just that more independent.

The post below made me laugh so hard. Chloe always brightens my day. Such a funny girl !!!

  5. awwwwwwwwwww... I love the barefoot tootsie pictures.. they are just adorable!!!! In our church we always had sooooooo many newborns and not enough workers... that was HARD work I tell you!! I love the older ages!! They are so cute and so honest!!! LOL LOL!!!

  6. My favorite shot was the second one where her head was turned. NOT because she isn't adorable, just liked the way it looked.

  7. You have such a talent and she is so beautiful! Easy shoot with those 2 elements! :)
Enjoy the moments that you can - while you can!

  8. Personality AND beauty - what a combination! She's a doll!

  9. Beautiful photos, Lara! May I ask what kind of backdrop you use and what your setup is? My goal this year is to do my girls' portraits instead of paying for someone else to do them, but I don't have a suitable setup yet. Any hints?

  10. Love the one with her hand triumphantly in the air.
    YES, she's in nursery. :)

  11. I also love the one with her hand in the air.

So, how did nursery turn out for her? That got me thinking that my counselor over nursery will need to make more "hands" for the door thing. Hope it went well!

  12. She is gorgeous! And i love her hair bow!!
