The many faces of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and other artistic pursuits

For Chloe, everything is an opportunity to create art.

Even her lunch, as she so aptly demonstrated this afternoon, with absolutely no help or other encouragement from parents or siblings:
(No sandwiches were harmed in the making of these pictures....they were just a bit emotional, that's all.)

In other artistic news, the other morning when Chloe woke up (she is not an early riser by any means), Joel was out working on the backyard. Still in her pajamas, she went out there with him and started doing her thing with the sidewalk chalk. She did not feel the need to go about this in a normal way. Instead, she made as much chalk dust as possible, and then used a stick to create her picture. Then she just touched it up a bit with the chalk.
Cool effect, but incredibly messy.
But then again, who said art was supposed to be neat and tidy?

  7. I used to have a sign in my room that said "Creativity is not a pretty sight." I think that applies well here.

  8. AUGH -- the mess. I'm stressed! But I love the sandwich art. I love the surprise lips and the angry eyebrows.
