On the seventh day of Christmas, tradition gave to me:
Seven letters to Santa

And almost all of them written by Chloe. One was written in behalf of Sophia, though, as she can't yet write for herself. Here they are in all their misspelled glory, and I'm not even going to translate for you. You can click on them to get a better look.

Chloe's letters:

(I had to black out our address on this one, but I do adore the way she spelled Cedar City.)

Sophie's letter (written by Chloe):

  1. Oh, those are just so cute! I do love the way she spelled Cedar City, too. I think it's so cute how many times she told him that she loved him.

  3. I think it is great when they ask him what he wants and tell him that they love him. Cute letters.

  4. This is my favorite day yet. I took the time to click on each and every letter. So much fun.

I love that in a few of the letters the girls are signing their first and last name. Are they doing so on their own? Don't get me wrong, it is super important to do so for identity purposes with Santa, but it made me smile.

Bria's wish list is very much in line with your description on her in your sidebar. I love it!

  7. Aww, these are great! I think they will love seeing them some day when they are older--moms themselves maybe.

Sedrside is hilarious and I love the decorating on the next one, too. I also love that she wants to know what Santa wants too. Kids this age often do love Santa like he was a family member, which I think is great.

  8. My favorite line: "You're the best Santa in the world."

    That's awesome.

  13. Wow, she really wants that scooter!

So apparently there's a Santa Claus guy here in Tacoma...I haven't seen or heard him yet, but I'm told he gets driven around the neighborhoods in the flatbed of a pick-up, saying over a loudspeaker, "Ho ho ho! I'm comin' to your house soon! Don't forget the cookies! And I want whole milk, not skim!" So good.

So tell the girls to leave whole milk, because Santa's not so into the skim!

  14. These letters are so cute! Have you gone to put letters in that mailbox they put up especially for Santa at the post office? My kids were enthralled with that mailbox.

  16. That is too cute! I asked my 4 year old what she thought Santa was going to bring her and her brother and sister. She said she thought Santa would bring her a Barbie. And I said, "But you just gave all your Barbies away." And she said, "That's because their hair was all messed up!"

I had no idea it was all about the hair. Apparently Barbie is still very much loved, but she needs a hair dresser on call. LOL!

  21. Well, I am truly impressed with Bria's writing! I love how she sounded out "fraevrit"--probably how she says it. So cute!

I have been slacking with Everett since he started preschool. I know he's not learning anything new there, but it's a subconscious perception of a shift of responsibility for me.

    I love your tree too!
