Cause for celebration throughout the land

Sophie is officially potty trained!

She hasn't had an accident in nearly a week.

She has stayed dry at night for a week.

She can even go all by herself (and insists on it, usually).

We tried a few months ago, and she did a pretty good job, but then she got stubborn and refused to wear anything but diapers. So we let it alone for a bit.

I decided to try again last week, and this time, it worked like a charm.

Nice to have that one out of the way.

  1. I'm jealous.

This should help make the move easier... (or not! Sometimes diapers are good traveling companions.)

  4. See the green eye of jealousy arise in me!! I'm still having trouble getting Ben, who will be 5 in September, to stop doing number 2 in his pants and now I need to get my butt in gear and train Josh before baby number 5 comes. Potty training is definitely not one of my gifts.

  7. Yeah! I celebrate with you! My youngest was te hardest. How many hours can one woman spend sitting on the bathroom floor mustering up enthusiasm.....

  9. That's super! And with plenty of time for it to "stick" before you move. Crazy time right now for you, huh?

  13. I am sure that is a huge relief! :) I am looking forward to the day that Annabelle is potty trained (but not looking forward to the process so much).

Thanks for your comments on my blog! I really appreciate the tips!!!

  17. Love the title of the post! That's exactly how I felt when my youngest officially became potty trained, I almost threw a party I was so happy to not buy diapers anymore!
Of course, if I had it all to do over again I would probably go cloth and then I wouldn't have been worrying about the diaper expenses...

  19. Lucky. Lucky . Lucky. Drina STILL is not dry at night time ... unless I get up 3 times in the night to take her to the bathroom. So it's either dry Audrina or rested mom. Crappy trade-off, I say.
