Tranquility

This is another picture from the Butchart Gardens. It is my favorite one...it just seems so peaceful. I think I will enlarge it and hang it somewhere.

I promise to be better about taking pictures this week. The leaves are starting to turn and it is very pretty, but I haven't picked up my camera since we were at Lake Superior two weeks ago. Just not in the mood, I guess.

  2. Gorgeous picture.

We went there as a family just after high school. I was a brat because I didn't get any sleep sharing a bed with my sister, and my mom was grouchy because they ran into an old friend and his new twenty-something wife. My mom is usually very calm, but she said "Don't you EVER do that to me!" several times. It was very upsetting.

I didn't get it at the time, but I totally do now.

Sometime I need to return and appreciate it with a good nights' sleep and no trophy wives.

  6. I'm counting on you to share fall colors - I'm always homesick in the fall. ;)

  7. Beautiful image. And don't worry about the pics thus far. While it would be great to see more, I'd rather see them knowing you were happy. =]

  9. Beautiful! I can't believe I never got up there when we lived in the PNW. The first June I was too shell-shocked from the unexpected move. The second June I was in the hospital trying NOT to have the twins.

I'm a Landscape Architect by education and training so it's really, really sad I've never seen this place except in photos. Maybe someday...
