Silly me! I actually thought my life would calm down

That was a nice fairy tale, wasn't it?

This week

Tomorrow (Thursday) will be go-go-go from dawn till dusk it looks like.

Chloe's got an appointment with the dentist.
Sophia has preschool, and it's our turn to provide the snack.
I've got three lessons at the University.
My visiting teachers are coming.
I have to do my volunteer work for the preschool carnival.
The girls will come home from school and fly through homework and practicing.
Bria has her violin lesson.
And finally, there's a Visiting Teaching conference.

Phewsh!

Unless Chloe is still as sick as she's been the last few days. Poor thing. The strep test came back negative, but she is still one sick little girl. I didn't cancel the dentist for tomorrow because I know the reschedule will be in April or later, and I'd like to get this done now.  I'm having faith that she'll be miraculously healed overnight. But, if I have to cancel, perhaps I should be grateful.  One less thing to worry about, right?

Right.

Especially since I seem to be getting whatever it is that she's got...

Happy Thursday!

  1. Oh, Lara. You deserve some DOWNTIME. I moved around the same time as you and I have way too MUCH downtime (and no, I didn't know there was such a thing). You can have some of mine if you'd like it.

  2. You and me and everyone else - it's myth. My youngest went off to college last September, I'm still thinking life is gonna slow down :0

  3. Life just never slows does it! When I think of the things I do, it doesn't seem like there's that much. But then going through all the things I do really takes up some time!!

  9. Isn't that just how it always is? I'll cross off a huge list and there's a whole bunch of other stuff to do. Endless.

Poor Chloe. hope she feels better & that you don't get it...at least your performance is over.

  10. That is one run-on day. I hope your little one gets better soon. And now you are getting it? We can't have that!

At least it was after your performance.

  11. I sure hope your not getting sick! You are a very busy lady, but I agree, I think you need a break, some down time, a vacation??? :) Take it easy and take care of yourself. Is mom still with you?

  12. This strep-like virus is the pits!! O has been sick with it since Saturday. I was hoping for 2 hours of free time today but there is no way I can take her to preschool. )0: I hope Chole feels better soon--and that no one else gets it!!

  13. I hope C is feeling better today.
I tend to have super crowded weeks, but literally I have hardly anything to do today.
    And I love it.
Sorry to taunt you with that. :)

  15. Strangely enough - this has been the year that I have discovered that little fact for myself - it seems like each week I keep thinking to myself that I just have to get a, b, and c done and then things will get back to our regular pace. After a few months of that I finally figured out that it was our new regular pace.

    sigh

    but good, too!

(and I am thinking my schedule is probably much less crazy than yours - )

    good luck!!!

  16. I hear you on all counts. I should snap a shot of my daily planner some time. It is hideously full to bursting, too.

I'm so behind on my blog reading, I do well to visit my faves (including yours) once a week now. But something had to go, between the Olympics, Primary duties, family and my own writing & reading. (sigh)
