It's Officially Spring!

And I am officially enjoying it.

I was talking to a friend who has lived here for 40 years the other day.  He asked me how I was enjoying the weather, and then said, "I've lived here for 40 years and I've never seen so much sun in my life!"

I believe it, too.  When I came up to look for a house last May, it was freezing.  And I had to buy a jacket because I didn't think to bring one since it was all hot in Utah.  When we moved here in August, it was freezing.  And I seriously contemplated turning on my heat in the middle of the summer.

We've had gorgeous weather, and I'm not complaining.

And, also,  look what's in my yard!

Red and Yellow

Red Tulips

I love spring.

  1. It's wonderful! I love spring, too!

  2. Be glad you're not still in Utah then, because we are NOT seeing spring. . .

Lovely tulips! They always make me smile!

And your photos of the "glasses adventure" - the water and bridge photos - made Luke ask when we can come visit, lol!

  3. It has been unseasonably rainy and cool here in May. I always remember May being much warmer. Glad it has hit there in your neck of the woods!

  4. We lucked out this year, too. Last year it was still jacket weather in June. This year we've already been on the beach a few times. I prefer it this way for sure!

  5. Lovely splendid tulips! The color looks cherry kisses.

On the flip side of your weather, we are often burning up by now here in the desert. But right now, it's about 77 degrees outside and we are in heaven. Will this weather hold? I'm praying for it to...

    Happy Spring!

  6. SO pretty!!!!! It is finally, finally getting up into the 90s here so we can swim, thank goodness. :-)

  7. Tulips are gorgeous. And since it snowed here today, we are still waiting for spring.

  8. Isn't it funny that your weather is better than Utah right now?

  9. So Pretty! Makes me Happy! Happy Spring!

  10. Our spring is marvelous, too. Tonight we spent an hour outside, just Sloane and I. Swinging and talking and watching the moon rise.

  11. Beautiful tulips! It's funny how we are all connected via blogs and our weather is so vastly different. Here, it is in the 90s already.
