Night Owl

Whooooo

(Picture taken on Halloween during Trick-or-Treating at the University dorms.  They had a bird exhibit on the front lawn.)

This night owl (me) has been getting up much too early and staying up much too late to function well at all these past weeks.  I am looking forward to this weekend with an unprecedented ferocity, as it is my first Saturday in TWO months that is completely blank in my planner.  No wonder I've been so overwhelmed!  My weekdays can be cram-packed and it's fine as long as I get Saturday all to myself.  I'm selfish like that.

And I have big plans for this November 13, people.

  • Sleep.
  • Finish reading the book for book club.
  • Sleep.
  • Teach Bria how to use the sewing machine she received for her birthday a month ago.
  • Sleep.
  • Take our Christmas Card photo.  (The girls dresses are so freaking adorable this year!!!)
  • Sleep.
  • Catch up on laundry.
  • Sleep.
  • Do some projects for Primary.
  • Sleep.
Have a wonderful weekend!  I know I will!!

  1. I love that you have sleep in there every other option. I need to take a lesson from you this weekend.

  2. I love how you say your planner is blank... and you still have all those things to do... just your typical life of a Mom... to you, that's a slow day :) It's nice to do things you WANT to sometimes isn't it? Have fun....

    I LOVE sleep....

  4. You should squeeze in the art show at the local high school on Saturday! :) But, if I had the option, sleep would be my primary goal, too! Enjoy!

  8. I'm kinda liking the sleep option. A whole lot. Sleeping has been sorely lacking in this house and I'm kinda feeling like sleep needs some love. Hope your weekend works out just like you planned! :)

  9. Some people use Saturdays to actually DO things, but I try and cram everything in during the week days when I am already swamped, so that I can nap and just hang out with the family on Saturdays.

  12. Sounds like a good day you had. Sloane is down with strep throat, today. So, I'm home and grabbing the chance to catch up on neglected tasks and treats. The first thing I did when I woke up was come to the computer to start visiting my friends. So. Here I am. Hello friend.
