It's the Most Busiest Time of the Year!

Sigh.  This is the best photo I could get today.  Nobody felt much like cooperating, as you can probably see. To be honest, the dog was actually the MOST cooperative.

This morning we woke up to this:

Sophia and I stayed home from church.  We both have bad colds, but Sophia's seems a bit worse than mine. Besides, we got word that we would only have Sacrament meeting for whoever could get there, so I didn't worry too much about not being there for Primary.  But then, so many people braved the weather (such Yooper Troopers we are!) that they held third block anyway, and only cancelled the Sunday School block. I'm thankful that I have really good counselors and other help in Primary!

This week has been busy, busy, busy and snowy, snowy, snowy.

We've had lots of concerts.

Sophia and Bria had their annual Suzuki Holiday concert.  (Yes, I'm in dire need of a haircut.  My hairdresser moved away and I've been avoiding trying someone new!)

Chloe and Sophia had their Elementary School Holiday Concert.  This is Chloe and her BFF in twinner Christmas dresses.  Aren't they adorable?  Bria also had her Middle School Holiday Concert, but I don't have any photos.

Yesterday, Bria and two other girls played for the Santa and Gingerbread event at the local museum.  It was really cool to watch them powwow on what they would play next.  She's getting so mature as a performer, and she even told me she would love to do something like that again because she had so much fun!
While we were watching Bria play, we got seeing Santa out of the way.  Sophia told him she "didn't know" what she wanted for Christmas.  Huh.  And yet I have a long list from her of things she wants.

Sophia had worked on a gingerbread house with her Girl Scout troop this week.  The girls that worked on this house had a blast building the crazy roof with suckers!  Sophia was thrilled to see that it had won "The Sucker Award for Most Eccentric Roof!"

Yes, I realize she has blue teeth.  I'm pretty sure that she must have been eating a blue candy cane.  And how about the juxtaposition of a cemetery photo with Christmas Gingerbread?

The girls always enjoy the giant gingerbread house at this event.  And now she's eating a red candy cane.  Hmm.

Listening to our favorite children's librarian reading a story about The Gingerbread Baby.

Finally, here's a photo I took of the snow after dropping Chloe off at her Girl Scout activity yesterday afternoon.  I admit, it's gorgeous living in a winter wonderland.  Just cold.  And now we have 8 more inches.

Happy Sunday!
