Our Home Stretch is Full of Weeds

This is the last Sunday Photo before school is out for the summer. It's the home stretch. Of course, this week is practically useless at school, what with all of the parties and FUN, but nobody wants to miss any of the festivities. Except Bria who has exams all week since she is graduating from middle school. Poor baby.

And poor me! I'm going to have a child in high school next year. I will only have four more years before she flies away from the nest. Why do my babies have to grow up?

But let's talk about something a little happier.

Like all my weeds.

IMG_8239 Sunday photo web

Seriously. I don't think we actually have a lawn. Just a bunch of wild daisies and dandelions and who knows what else. It's been this way our entire five years in this house, and because of all the other issues, the backyard wasn't all that usable. But we finally fixed those things last year, and now I'm wondering how to eradicate the weed garden and plant an actual lawn?

It's on the list this summer, anyway. Which starts in FOUR days!

PS I love these pictures. They perfectly capture the different personalities of my children. Love my girls.

Happy Sunday!

Our grass is really just clover and moss :) My kids are growing up too--all in elementary next year.

  5. It does look better when it's mowed, that's for sure! But those daisies pop right back up! (They are pretty--maybe I shouldn't complain too much.)

And just a great big sigh about the kids growing up. SIGH.

  22. I tweeted about this wonderful give away! #CurelItchDefense #SweepstakesEntry I entered to win $100 Visa GC & learned about beating summer skin . U can too!— april farley (@aprilraindance) July 22, 2014

How I battle the dry summer skin is with a cream that has a magic flower infused within it called Callendulah . They look like a marigold on steroids. It works miracles on dry skin really on any skin condition.
