My fridge is sparkling, thanks to Joel. He's a rockin' refrigerator cleaner outer.

The living room, kitchen and bedrooms are all clean.

I have kept up reasonably well the past week, instead of playing catch up all the time (unless you count my laundry).

Even the bathrooms are clean.

Absolutely amazing, considering I was hopelessly behind on Monday because of the epic shopping trip and then doing more errands, going to violin lessons, starting to teach lessons again myself, and taking Bria to the dentist (no cavities!) and Chloe to the doctor between yesterday and today.

While I've done infinitely better at keeping my house clean, I noticed that the blog desperately needed some housekeeping of its own. And since I had time, I cleaned it up.

First, you've probably noticed the new banner. I think I love this one almost as much as, if not more than, February's banner that stayed up for 8 months. I'll try to bring myself to take it down when it comes time.

I also updated my sidebar. The books on the list are what I'm actually reading (some are not changed because they're the type of books you just read forever) instead of what I was reading 6 months ago. The pictures of the kids reflect what they're doing now instead of what they were doing in October when I last updated that part. I've added several new "blogging buddies," but if I missed you and you'd like to be added please let me know. Lastly, I added a link to see all the past headers. If you care to, that is. I just wanted to have a place to store them online that was somehow connected to the blog.

While I was at it, I even updated my photography blog with a recent photoshoot. I think these are some of my favorite pictures yet. You can see them here and here.

And finally, since I promised a couple weeks ago (was Christmas really that recent?) a picture of the Christmas PJ's for 2007, here it is:

The girls opened them on Christmas Eve at Matt and Ashley's house after a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Sophie and Chloe got matching nightgowns, which they love. Chloe wants to wear hers every night. Nothing like that was available in Bria's size, so she got some cute snowman PJ's. Thanks to my mom for picking them out since I couldn't find anything here in Cedar.

And now I'm off to catch up on laundry. If I never blog again, you'll know it was because I was buried in an avalanche of clothing.

Wish me luck!

  1. Congrats on keeping up instead of falling further behind on your home-keeping!

I love the pictures you linked to--I especially love the picture of the mom's hand and baby's hand and of the one of the big sister. Beautiful work! I'd hire you to teach me how to do that if we lived close to each other!

Your blog looks great--I need to learn how to do all of that stuff for my own blog!

Thanks for adding me to your list of blogging buddies, too. I feel special!

  2. Wow.
That is a lot of blogging buddies.
    And now to clean...

  3. What is it with Men being excellent fridge cleaners? I mean, in no other regard is Hank better at cleaning than me, except the fridge. Which is good, because that is my least favorite project. Love the banner!!! I'm getting photoshop elements when the $20 off coupon hits Costco in a week.

  4. Those are very cute pictures. You do an awesome job.

  5. I wish my husband would clean the fridge. *jealousy!*

And yeah, I've been buried in laundry all evening. I just barely emerged... for an hour anyway.

If there's one reason I love blogging it's so I can realize that I am not alone.

  6. Don't remind me. The laundry is calling... er, screaming.... my name here!

  7. Oh I LOVE LOVE the new look!!! It's GREAT!! I've been a bad bad blogger.. LOL LOL... always nice to jump over here and see what you're up to!!

  8. I love a clean fridge! Good for you on keeping up - I have the same goal. Amazing how much laundry can pile up! I'm just excited that Kylee is doing her own now! (: YEA FOR ME!

  9. LOVE a clean fridge. And a clean everything. Just not the cleaning...which is probably why I'll be buried down there with you in the avalanche of laundry pretty soon.

I need to redo my blogroll thing too - when I switched over to my new look I tried to slap a little something up, but it really doesn't even have like half the ones I read probably.
