Kuishini kuona and other musical stuff

If you are interested in listening to the World Premiere of "Africa" that I sang in last week, you can download a podcast here.

Tomorrow (Friday) morning I am going down to St. George to adjudicate some middle school choirs in a festival. I'm a little nervous as I've never actually adjudicated choirs. I suppose I'm well enough equipped. We'll see how it goes.

Joel's adjudicated two different festivals this week, guest conducted for the community choir that I sing in (they LOVED him, of course), and is also beginning rehearsals for his upcoming concerto night with the Orchestra of Southern Utah. This is all on top of his normal university, high school and middle school groups.

Then there's the benefit concert, which is creeping up and I really don't feel very prepared, not to mention the fact that my duet partner is at a choral convention right now so we aren't rehearsing again till Sunday. There will be a lot of rehearsals this week, and then the performance next Saturday (which I understand will also be podcast, aren't you excited?). I'm sure I'll be ready enough...but we haven't even rehearsed with our accompanist yet!

And then we can all (except maybe Joel, who will be busy as ever) breathe a sigh of relief. And I can perhaps organize a closet or two.
