More wedding shots

I finally finished editing the wedding.

Still unhappy with it, because of the lighting. Thank heavens for my nifty fifty and Noiseware.

Here are some favorites. (If you missed the ones I posted last week, click here.)

Throwing the bouquet.
Cutting the cake.
Eating the cake?

Helping dad with his tie before the guests come.
The centerpieces.
Beautiful bride. (The way the lighting was makes everything look from the 70's. Kind of cool I guess.)
Standing in line. (Depth of field/focus issues from shooting wide open in the no light.)
Niece of the bride at the punch bowl.
The gift table.
The end.

Should I post these on my photography blog? Not sure I want to get in the habit of shooting weddings.

  1. I really think they're great. Lighting issues were compensated for as well as you could.

  2. I agree with Hilary. And I think you should post whatever you're comfortable with on your photography blog--you don't necessarily have to label it Weddings, if you're worried about being asked to do it again. You could just label them....Other Work, or some such thing.

  3. where was that kind of photography when i got married?! where were YOU when i got married?

i think they're awesome. and i don't know squat about lighting.

i say post them on the photo blog and you can always say no, when asked if you do weddings :)

  4. why not? in here they make great money with this! and you are so talented!

  5. Hey, is that Bro Kottraba?

    I think they look great!

  6. I think they have a very romantic feel about them. I actually really like them. They are unique and I think the bride will love them too. The niece at the punch bowl is such a great shot. You have a GREAT eye.

  7. I didnt know his daughter got married.. I think they are great!! I wish you could have done our wedding.. My Uncle did them and bless his heart they didnt turn out.. Poor lighting and we didnt have digital cameras so we cant fix them.. Oh well.. we have a few.. Take care

  8. I think you captured the moments, you did a great job.You should put it on your Photography blog, it's your work be proud of it.

  9. I think they turned out great :)

  10. The are beautiful photographs. Yet, I do understand the stress and pressure that must be involved. Weddings are a huge deal, but you have HUGE talent, so.... GO FOR IT.

  11. I love them!! I think you should post them on your photography board.
