Chloe, whose main goal in life is to be an artist when she grows up, drew this portrait the other day.
People. She is 6 years old. SIX!
She blows me away.
That is all.

What a talented girl! But she does come by it naturally, after all!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis girl WILL be an artist some day. No question about it.
ReplyDeleteShe blows me away!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteShut up-she's six?! That's amazing. Far beyond anything I could ever hope to do. Can't wait to see what she's creating when she's 16 or 26!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's Chloe, born to draw! Her genes ar showing!
ReplyDeleteKeep her going, Lara. My oldest son had that kind of talent, but we moved to a place where there were no art classes, and he eventually lost interest. You know how talents are; ignore them long enough and they fade.
ReplyDeleteAnd Chloe is one talented child.
Amazing! Good thing she has a mom who will encourage her talents.
ReplyDeleteOops, I was signed into my other profile.
ReplyDeleteShe has got some serious talent! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like she knows who she is at age 6 because she already is an artist. Amazing that she knows what she wants and has such aptitude and ability in the area she has chosen. In addition she is so driven to perfect her craft. Looks like it is time to schedule some serious art classes and stuff.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful! You know what's even better? That she has a mom who will support her in all her creative endeavors. Way to go, Lara.
ReplyDeleteOH MY WORD!! Nothing short of brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWow~! I suspect she really will make that goal. She's very good!
ReplyDeleteMy 9 year old also loves to draw (she's getting her first prismacolors set for Christmas) but she can't even do that. VERY talented!
That is way better than anything I could draw. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteShe is amazing!
Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWow! Way to go, Chloe!! (And I'd say you have every right in the world to be braggin' it up.)
ReplyDeleteShe definately has talent. My 13 year old niece is the same way. I have several of her pieces that she has given me that I have framed and put up on my walls. She is that good. So keep encouraging her and get her in some good classes. She could definately be a famous artist one day. :)
ReplyDeleteBrag away Mamma! Awesome job. :)
ReplyDeleteWow that is good, but don't take my word for it I can't even trace my hand.
ReplyDeleteCan I say Wow again.
that IS impressive! (but, really, i'm not surprised. the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree!)
ReplyDeleteWOWza.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow!
ReplyDeleteChloe is unreal.
Seriously?
My stick figures are pitiful.
holy smokes! That is outstanding. Definitely talented.
ReplyDeleteThat girl has some serious talent! And she's so blessed to have a mother who recognizes and nurtures that talent. I think we can expect great things from Miss Chloe one day!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I wanted to add that what's really amazing about that drawing is that it's obvious that she really understands the structure beneath what she sees. It's not just an outline of a face, she's got shading, real bone and muscle structure, and realistic lighting. That's not something you see in drawings by six-year-olds—or even most adults, for that matter!
ReplyDeleteSo there—that's my professional opinion. As someone who has taught drawing many times, I can say there's a level of maturity here that you don't often find in kids far older than Chloe. She's a treasure!
6? That is simply amazing! I can't believe it. What talent. Especially to understand shading and all that. I still don't understand it!
ReplyDeleteVERY good for 6!!!!! Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove this! What talent.
ReplyDeleteOften I see the art work my children, your Chloe, & my nephew, Gregor, have done & think this: their art is equal to whatever hangs in an art gallery. Truly.
That is so awesome. Keep on encouraging that girl.
ReplyDeleteWow Lara, is she in art classes. She is truly talented.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I am 31, and I could never draw anything that awesome!!! She definitely has talent!
