We went over to Sophia's preschool the other night for her art showcase. After we saw all of the neat things she's made this year, we let the kids play on the playground for a bit. Sophia headed straight for the sandbox, and had the time of her life throwing old leaves into the air.
Pure, unadulterated joy.
And pure, unadulterated Sophia. This photo perfectly captures the little girl I adore...right down to the plumber's butt.
Ok, how warm has it been? T-shirt weather is just refusing to stick around here. Beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteAwh... is her hair getting darker?
ReplyDeleteI love how you can see her little bum.
ReplyDeleteI adore that little scamp! She is my favorite granddaughter #4!! It must be warm to be in a T-shirt! NO coats ey?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun picture- I love seeing the joy on her face. My kids are like that a lot; I need to see it and recognize it more.
ReplyDeleteSo darling. I wish I could be a child again!
ReplyDeleteIn every picture I see of her she is vibrant and happy. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest picture! You have captured the joy she has within her. And that cute little bum just adds to it. Great shot! She is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI noticed her "plumber's butt" first thing in that picture, mostly because I have a daughter like that too. No matter what I do- it always shows!
ReplyDeletebeautiful
ReplyDeleteI love how you captured her pure joy in the moment.
ReplyDeleteI spend every day with 18 seven and eight year olds. I spend every day with my one perfect little girl - she's eight, too. Every day I spend time on the playground with children. You know what the best part of that is? Moments just like this Sophie-moment you captured.
ReplyDeletei LOVE these precious moments you're able to capture!
ReplyDelete(And, I swear, she and Laci must have been carved out of the same mold - even the plumber's butt! By the time Laci fills out enough for her pants to fit over her hips properly, she's wearing high-waters.)
Wonderful description of a child full of joy. My favorite photo of my older daughter is her face of pure fun when she danced a hula dance with a grass skirt on that she had just received as a gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty she is! I love that you're able to capture her joy right at the moment it happens. That ain't no small feat!
ReplyDeleteThat is joy! So glad you caught the moment. So glad you're willing to share it.
ReplyDeleteLovely pic & yes, I feel the joy here!!
ReplyDeletePS: Didn't notice the plumber's butt until you pointed it out, hehehe. ;) My littlest ends up with that butt sag more often then I'd like, too...
