Please excuse the terrible iPhone photo. Again. |
This weekend was my favorite weekend of the year: October General Conference. I like April, too, of course, but since October is my favorite month, the fall session trumps the spring.
Ever since I had to go gluten-free, I selfishly stopped making Conference Cinnamon Rolls. I didn't want the rest of my family to partake of the yummy goodness without me! Well, now that the gluten-frees outnumber the glutinous in our household, I decided I should try out a GF cinnamon roll recipe. I found this one on Pinterest and gave it a go. They were just okay, but the girls (especially Sophia and Chloe) were ecstatic with them. If you must know, I think I used too much of the sweet sorghum flour. I have some ideas on tweaking it and will report back in six months when I make them for April General Conference.
There is just something so wonderful about cozying up together on the couch and listening to our church leaders. Not only am I spiritually edified, but I feel closer to my family, and happier in general. Too bad it can't be every weekend.
Puccini loves General Conference, too. Seriously. She rarely wants to be on our laps, but during General Conference she cuddles right up. |
Poor Sophia has been sick this weekend. She came down with a high fever sometime in the middle of the first Saturday session, and hasn't felt well since. I am suspecting strep throat and it looks like I'll be taking her in first thing tomorrow morning. Poor baby.
I hope your weekend was as fabulous as mine was!
wonderful, I love your signs Lara!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't commented in awhile, but I'm still around and reading. I'm glad you're still posting:)
ReplyDeleteLove your signs.
I always thought cinnamon rolls was our families tradition, but judging by facebook posts, it's a church-wide thing:)
