I Am Officially the (Exhausted) Mother of a Teenager!

Today is Bria's 13th birthday. I am kind of in denial, because since when am I supposed to know how to parent a teenager?

I am also exhausted. We went to bed well after midnight last night (an all too common occurrence around here) after a wonderful first orchestra concert of the season for the Maestro. And then we got up at 4:00 in the morning, which nobody should EVER have to do, in order to get my mom and our visiting guest artist (last night's concert culminated with Dvorak's Cello Concerto) to the airport for the ridiculously early flight.

I tried to go back to sleep once we came home, without much luck. I'm afraid I wasn't a very nice Primary leader at church today. Exhaustion will do that to a person.

So, I didn't get a decent Sunday photo, yet again. Instead, I took one from my prone position in bed where I took a much needed nap after church. The girls are adorable, as always, but my photography is pretty stinky.

Not to worry! I have vowed to take them on a photo shoot tomorrow in the fall colors if it kills me!

And if I don't get myself in bed right this minute, it just might.

Happy (what's left of) Sunday!
