Just Keepin' it Real

I keep it real because I can't keep up.

Here is my Sunday photo:

Did you think that Sophia would have anything other than Cheetah print PJs? Those are from Joel's mom, and she LOVES them.

The Maestro has been out of town again for the past few days. Sophia and I stayed home from church today because she is sick. The other two went with a friend. I haven't folded laundry all week, and what you see there is only about a third of what still needs to be folded and put away. I should put away those two cute Christmas wreaths the girls made at school two months ago. I started back to work in earnest last week, but in another two weeks I will add almost nightly opera rehearsals to my already overstuffed schedule. And then I'll never fold laundry again.

Which, of course, is why I have children. Time to make them step it up a bit, I guess.

Coming soon: How I Made My Children Do All My Household Chores so I Could Sing in an Opera.

Seriously. Look for it. And shortly after that, look for Why I Banned My Husband From Ever Traveling Again.

In better news, the sun has been out quite a lot lately. Which is big news around here. Apparently the Polar Vortex has caused a large portion of Lake Superior to freeze, which means less lake effect snow, much colder than usual temperatures, and more sun.

I have mixed feelings about this, because the cold isn't much easier than the snow. But, I'll take the sunshine. I will definitely not argue with that.

PS After blogging since 2005 I finally purchased my own domain name. I've dragged my feet because "Overstuffed" was already taken, but I decided to just go with "Overstuffedlife." Everything should redirect, but there you go. Also another quick plug for my newly created Facebook Fan page. I'd love to see you over there!
