Sink Me, I'm Finished with Winter

But it isn't finished with me.

I'm also really exhausted. This last week was a doozy, culminating in a bathroom disaster of epic proportions that won't be entirely resolved until Tuesday. And it was all Winter's fault (read: frozen sewer pipe).

We still have about 50 inches of snow on the ground, but the good news is that the streets have been wet the last couple of days and that means we're going to have less snow on the ground. It also means it's warmer and above freezing right now. But, just barely.

I just got back from an OPERAtion Imagination rehearsal--that is what I'll be working on while I'm on Spring Break this week at the university. No teaching lessons or actual opera rehearsals, but lots of rehearsals and performances for OPERAtion Imagination. This is one of my favorite jobs, though--bringing opera scenes into local elementary schools and an opera workshop with a few kids on the weekend. The world needs more opera lovers, and we're working on creating them!

I missed my window for a good Sunday photo. That stinker Bria is in her comfies before I even get out of the car from church! It's okay though, because now I'm in my comfies and I'm off to make my girls watch The Scarlet Pimpernel with me. Only my favorite movie of all time, and since The Maestro has been indoctrinating them with Men in Black this weekend, and since they also enjoyed Pride & Prejudice, it's time.

Happy Sunday!

(Oops--I never hit publish before going upstairs to watch the movie. You'll be happy to know that all three girls absolutely adored the movie.)

  1. I loooooooove that movie. Can't help it.

  2. Is it the one with Jane Seymour? Or are there lots of versions? My girls have seen at least 5 versions of Pride and Prejudice :)

  3. I've never seen the movie...but I did see it on stage about 12 years ago and it was amazing!
