Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black (Retail $7.99): Okay. I was thrilled with this stuff. I swear, mascara is a difficult make-up item for me and I don't know why. I have recently tried lots of different brands, and it's crazy how different the results are. I basically have no eyelashes, so I need a mascara that will lengthen and volumize. And I like one that doesn't leave me with black all over my eyes at the end of the day. But I don't want it to be waterproof just so it will stay on, because I'd also like to get it off easily enough when I go to bed. (Okay, I'm starting to maybe see why I have such a difficult relationship with mascara.

ANYWAY, all of that to say that I love this new Revlon stuff! It's perfect. Stays on, no smudging, my eyelashes look long and full, and you can get it at any drugstore for a lot less money than some mascaras. Win.

HASK Argan Oil Intense Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment (Sample size, value $2.49): I'm really into the whole Argan/Moroccan Oil craze right now. I love what it does to my hair and skin in just about any product I've tried and this conditioner is no different. I have thick, does-what-it-wants hair and this conditioning treatment tamed it for a few days. That is a good thing.

Body Drench Candy Licious Lip Balm in Lime Gumdrop (Retail: $3.99):  I'm definitely more of a lipstick girl, but I love having lip balms for around the house and going to the beach. This one is amazing. It really stays on and definitely seals in moisture and I love that. Plus it smells heavenly and tastes nearly as good as it smells.

Anna Naturals Glowing Mama walnut face and body scrub

Anna Naturals Glowing Mama Walnut Face & Body Scrub (Sample size, approx. value $3.00): This was probably my favorite thing in the box this month. I like a natural face scrub, but I haven't always been happy with the weird residue some of them leave on my face. This one leaves my skin clean and soft with no icky residue.

Starlooks Lip Liner in Tickle Me Pink (Retail $12.00): Starlooks is an online-only company and I really like their products. They are comparable to beauty counter fare, and the lip pencil is no exception.

The total value of July's Beauty Box is circa $30.00. A monthly subscription to Beauty Box Five costs between $8.25 and $12.00, depending on your subscription plan.

  1. I love Revlon mascaras. I used to use them all the time, but I switched over to Mary Kay a few months ago, and I am liking their mascaras too. But Revlon is nice because you can go to any CVS or Target and get it whenever you need it. I'm glad you found something you liked!

  2. I can't believe I've never tried a Revlon mascara before. Though I tend to not buy much drugstore make-up, if I'm being honest. Which basically means I waste a lot of money at cosmetics counters when most stuff is fine at the drugstore. :)

  3. I'm remedial with mascara too. I always look like a racoon or like I have spiders crawling on my eyes!! I have to check out the Revlon!
