I love that a digital to-do list works well for you. I've tried that app, along with several others and I am hopeless! I have learned that the very act of writing things down works best for me.

I have my day to day journal in my purse and my to-do journal digitally on my phone :) Wunderlist is a pretty good app for that, it allows you to make as many separate lists as you need and add/check as you please.

We all have to find the system that works best for us, true enough. I don't actually carry around the to-journal with me much, though sometimes I bring it to work with me. It mostly stays at home since that is where I do most of the tasks that are in it.

I love this, as a big fan of paper and handwriting, but I don't carry two notebooks. That would just be too much for me.

Hi there! This is basically the same system I use, from the planner, to the to do list on the right and the stream of consciousness on the left. The only thing different from me is I categorize my lists page into the four corners of the page so I can focus on different areas of my life, including work and personal or special topics like Christmas.

My goal was to keep it as simple as possible, so I don't do anything different to denote that it's something that has been on the list longer. Besides, I usually know because it's nagging at me that I haven't done the darn thing yet!

That said, I do sometimes highlight items with a highlighter if they are more important and I need to do them sooner than later.

I have been researching different systems and I think this is it, thank you! One question, you cross off a task when completed instead of check marking it. Do you do anything different to those items you haven't completed in two days when you cross them off and add to new page? I know some people use color pens, etc. to distinguish completion vs. Transferring so wondering if you do anything to differentiate? And do you Inc on corporate a way to prioritize within list? Thanks again!

Another reader mentioned the Plum Paper Planners on my post about planners. I have seen them and they look good! I love planners so much. :)

I'm glad you're here and enjoying this series! Nice to know some people are following along--I hope the to-do journal helps you. It has been great for me since I started using it.

I LOVE the way you use your to-do journal with your lists on the right and stream of though on the left. I am going to try this. Also, I like your planner. I just got a Plum Paper Planner, which is similar to the Erin Condren Life Planner from what I hear, and I like it but I'm still getting used to having to write smaller. :)

I'm new to your blog, and I am really enjoying your 31 Days series!
