It also gives them a better chance to dry out. I just found your blog via Pinterest and I'm loving it! Thanks for the ideas as i'm just getting ready to start my looooong overdue decluttering. I hate that we have to look at everyone' stuff all the time, it drives me crazy. I also have three kids so I feel your pain! We have a locker-type set-up that has been great, but I think they're getting a bit old for it and I'll have to come up with another solution soon. We're waiting on a new couch (yay!) so once that gets delivered I'll have a better idea as what I have to work with. I love our lower hooks, never thought of that before:)

I like the 2 hooks per person idea. Sets limits. Same for the shoes. We have a plastic boot tray by our door and everyone is only allowed to have 1 pair of shoes on it. Everything else must be put away in their cubbies (kids) or closet (hubby & I). They need reminders but it helps.

I just love reading your blog!!!!!

This has become my morning ritual and today…I am going to get to work because this weekend I'll be back at the lake house.

Mine is my kitchen table. GEEZ…which is why we always eat in the dining room. Oh, wait, even my dining table is a mess right now.

The dining table is covered with eBay stuff and the kitchen table is a combination of things that need to be taken to my studio or to the lake house.

Come to think of it, every horizontal surface in my house is a mess!

We are working on our lake house that is an hour away from our home. Which means, if you're driving out there, you might as well spend all day. So, whatever comes in the house is usually dumped and I am too tired to deal with it.
