It seems you and I feel the same way about garage sales. I did two back to back when my MIL moved out of her home and into a retirement condo. I wont make that mistake again..lol We had stuff marked a quarter and they still wanted to haggle. Now I just pass it along to a few local churches and a thrift store that donates it $ to the animal shelter…way easier! You're doing a great job in getting rid of the clutter!!

I know what you mean about things creeping back into your home… my sentimental son does that with things I've thrown in the garbage even sometimes (not his things…my things LOL). I totally agree about the work involved in a garage sale. We do them once every 2-3 years so the kids are more motivated to purge (they get to keep the money for their items that sell), but mostly I just donate all year now. It's so much better to have the stuff out of my house!
