Thank you for the printable! My children are in love with the idea of visiting Paris and lived in the suburbs for a couple months as an exchange student when I was...ahem...younger. This is perfect to put on the table on Valentine's Day and have crepes and hot cocoa :-)

Great advice! I stopped using credit cards over 10 years ago. It's so liberating not to have to make that payment each month.

Good advice and great tools Lara. People take charging so casually these days and then pay much more than they ever should for their purchases. More people should talk about this and help educate the new generation of consumers.

I agree entirely about spending time regularly checking up on your accounts. I normally do it bi-weekly, to both check that things are going through correctly and that there are no funny charges going on!
We've played around with looking at interest on the Mister's motorcycle. The Honda finance website has a little calendar that shows you what you owe total/overall for whatever day you click on it...and you just go in a row, through each day and it just gets larger and larger and larger. Interest is crazy!! Luckily, there's enough extra money to throw an extra 100$ at it a month, but it's still going to take quite a while to be paid off!
