When our two youngest were little they had many gifts to open on Christmas. We wanted to stretch things out a bit so we had Santa make a special visit to our house the day after Christmas. He would drop them from his sleigh onto the front lawn. The adults would hear Santa's sleigh bells and yell for the kids to go outside and see if there were gifts on the lawn. It was magical for them!
