It's a good idea to encourage your daughters to read, it looks and sounds like they love it. Such great ideas on having summer goals.

A couple summers ago, part of our vacation was to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homestead in DeSmet, South Dakota. I read the first two books in the series to my girls before we left and they loved it so much. They are great read-aloud books!

This is a beautiful idea. Right now we are doing a reading challenge for the library and it is chugging along, but my girls prefer to be read to vs. reading to themselves. Our goal for the summer is to finish the entire Little House series. We are just starting on Book 2, so it may actually be possible.

I love the book bin idea! And the breakfast for the first morning is a fun way to kick off summer. My kids have one more week of school but we're starting to plan our summer already. Thanks for these ideas!
