Alas, my mama was a country girl. I got Yellow Rose of Texas and Tenneesee waltz. Not real lullabies, but she sang what she knew.

My mother was not much on singing to me as a child, but my father sang to me all the time! He often sang When you Wish Upon a Star, that was a favorite. He worked as a paid professional for the Boy Scouts, and from spending summers as a family at the scout camp I have a wonderful repetoire of Boy Scout songs that I still torture my adult-ish children with.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "O Hush Thee My Baby". Some songs I sing to my boys are "All the Pretty Little Ponies" "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" (Aidan calls it the evening song) and "Catch A Falling Star" slowed down. I love listening to violin music!

I dont think my mom sang, but the one I sang the most was There is a green hill far away. That's a tribute to my vocal range.

My mom used to sing one that had the line "with the stars to play with, and the moon to run away with." She said her dad sang it to her. I haven't heard it anywhere else.
