Stay Healthy this Holiday Season with Maty's All Natural Products

I'm the kind of person who hates taking medications. I just don't always feel awesome about immediately turning to them when I am sick and often I would rather let things run their course if they aren't too bad, anyway. And I much prefer trying natural remedies first, if I can.

Recently, Maty's Healthy Products asked me to try out their all natural cough syrup. Lucky for them, they caught me at a time when I really needed it. I had already resorted to going to the doctor's and begging for some relief from the nasty bug I had come down with, but the cough syrup with codeine didn't help much. Plus I was filling my body up with codeine, and I wasn't very happy about that at all.

I was miserable.

I started taking some of the Maty's all natural cough syrup, and while I wasn't immediately cured of my affliction (did I mention what a nasty bug it was?), I can say it helped my cough without making me feel all weird due to other drugs.

Let's stay healthy the natural way!

  4. I despise cold medicine. It helps you feel better, sure, but not enough, considering you'll be sick just as long whether you take it or not. My mom used to try so many different cough syrups with me as a kid - I was a sickly little snot, I swear - and I hated every single one of them. Even the orange (Delsum or something like that?) was alright, but had the worst shiver-inducing after taste. And, still sick for what seemed like forever.

My Mister, on the other hand, as soon as he has the sniffles, he wants cold medicine. He *cannot* function with even a little bit of a sick. Him with the sniffles means a day in bed. He says it makes him feel just enough better, with the medicine, to not be absolutely ridiculously useless. Though it seems he complains just as much!!

Drink lots of water and get sleep! If I lose even a few hours of sleep, I will get sick.

  11. I wash my hands... a LOT. And have everyone in the family wash a lot too. And cough into sleeves/elbows. All to avoid spreading germs and limit the illness from spreading to the whole family. Hope you're feeling better soon!

  17. Our family loves the tradition of "Giving back" during the Christmas season. We gather round the advent calendar and open the door for that day. Inside is a "Kindness" deed to do. It might be making cookies for neighbors, visiting with an elderly person, clearing snow from a driveway, simple gifts of time and help.

  35. What a cool tradition! I must have been a sheltered kid because I didn't realize until I was MUCH older that so many people had more than one tree in the house.

Our big traditions are putting the tree up on my mom's December birthday. My brother was born in December so it switched to his birthday. Also the one gift on Christmas Eve- I clearly took that one for granted because my husband is APPALLED by it.
